Steve started playing in college while attending Bowling Green State University in various coffee shops and at open mic nights. After graduation in 1996, he came to Florida and began playing with local bands such as the Skinnydippers. Now a solo player, he can be frequently spotted at many of the tourist-friendly watering holes on Ft Myers Beach. Steve's show is uniquely crafted by a looping technique he creates with his guitar generating a distinct sound that can only be "Steve Farst."
Locally known and adored, Steve has become one of the area's most recognizable musicians, many of his fans journeying from as far as Indiana to hear him play and sing.
