Growth of a poet

Susan Yount grew up on a farm, worked at a mill and waitressed at Cracker Barrel. She even wrote a poem about the folksy restaurant chain's dress code socks. More recently she won first place in the 16th annual Poetry Center of Chicago Juried Reading and is considered the brightest new voice on the local poetry scene.
